Following the positive experience of the change in working culture in the Department of Surgery, the managers at KSW decided to introduce activity-based working for the various professional groups and teams in the radiation oncology clinic in the new radiooncology building. The radiooncology staff were not yet familiar with the new way of working and were rather skeptical about the open-space/desk-sharing office concept. The project therefore needed the support of a workplace expert to develop the concept and accompany the participative planning process in the area of project-related workplace change management. The project had to be designed in close dialogue with the users and IT and the design implementation (material and color concept) had to be passed on to the architects. Offconsult acted as workplace specialist in the project and supported the client in the implementation.
